All About Hadley

Situated along MN State Hwy 30 in Murray County, Hadley offers a great quality of life, for both residents and visitors alike.

Welcomed to town by Summit Lake, Hadley's citizens enjoy the peacefulness of rural living where neighbors help one another, gather together for community events, and enjoy the many benefits of a small town.

Hadley's geographical location offers additional opportunities for dining, shopping and entertainment near by. The municipality is just five miles west of Slayton, MN and twenty-two miles east of Pipestone, MN. Proximity to regional hubs such as Marshall, MN, Worthington, MN, and Sioux Falls, SD can be reached within travel times of approximately one hour.

The economy of Hadley is largely agriculture based with many area families producing grain crops of corn and soybeans. We take pride in being home to several successful local businesses, such as the Hadley Farmer's Elevator Company, Hadley Steel Inc. and Pavlis Auction & Realty. In addition, we a fortunate to have a ten-site campground, Camp Summit, and a full service Municipal Liquor Store and Community Center, which is host to various gatherings and events throughout the year.

Every summer the community comes together to celebrate America's favorite pastime by supporting our local amateur league baseball team, the Hadley Buttermakers. Laurie Mahon Memorial Field serves as a gathering place for friends and family members, near and far.
